Janesville Park...

More than 60 people attended today's dedication of the new playgrounds. Supervisor Lloyd Keefer gave a history of the project and listed those who made the improvements possible.

Of course, Supervisor Keefer omitted his own name from that list.

I don't think that he should have. I may show my prejudice but I think that the Janesville Town Council should petition the Board of Supervisors to change the name of the park to Janesville's Lloyd Keefer Park. The results of the community's efforts came about because Mr. Keefer took the lead.

Supervisor Keefer is one who works hard for his district while balancing the needs of the entire County. Supervisor Keefer has consistently displayed a unique ability to get the most bang for the County's buck. Naming the Park after him is only logical.
