PG&E Rates To Go Up By Winter...

KGO TV reported on September 2

"Expect to see an increase in your power bill by the end of winter. PG&E said Friday it plans to raise electricity rates by $599 million dollars next year.

That will equal a 10. 8 percent increase for customers.

The rate hike is part of an agreement reached last year with the state that enabled PG&E to emerge from bankruptcy."

PG&E's website reports the current baseline rate at $.1143 which includes a Legislated 10% reduction.
