The "Me! Me! Me! Blogger”
Time for some local blogging.
There are hundreds of thousands of blogs on the Internet. Some are simply personal diaries and others are serious news and political analysis.
Locally we have what I call the “Me! Me! Me! Blog”.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with writing about yourself or what you think - that is what blogging is all about.
The “Me! Me! Me! Blog” wants to be considered a local powerhouse blog and also be a media outlet. That is all well and good. With “305 world wide web internet domains” logging on daily there is little doubt that the “Me! Me! Me! Blog” would rank in the top 5,000 blogs for traffic. That level of traffic would represents gigs of transfer rate every day. We must remember that in six-months more than 36,000 people voted in the The Me! Me! Me! “Blogger” “Hall of Shame”. Certainly not a “basic rate” blog.
Yet the “Me! Me! Me! Blog” wants to be a source of facts for the local MSM (Lassen Times). With a readership that apparently exceeds the readership of the local MSM, why would the blog care if the MSM quotes them?
There may be reasons why the MSM has decided not to quote the “Me! Me! Me! Blog”. Here are just a few suggestions from the “Me! Me! Me! Blog”:
“Weekly Advertiser & Withholder of Truth”
“The Lassen County Times has no commitment to protecting the public from corrupt government in Lassen County”
“Lassen County Times News Editor Thin Skinned”
“Publisher Mike Taborski aids Frank Cady on keeping Arrowrock facts out of public eye”
“Lassen County Times News Editor less than honest”
“France also just flat out lied”
“Lassen County Times=Keep the Truth from the Public”
“The public has no right to expect this newspaper to have principles”
“Lassen County Times finds no value in the communities concerns”
“LASSEN COUNTY TIMES IS ALLERGIC TO THE TRUTH”
For the “Me! Me! Me! Blog” everyone is in a conspiracy, is a criminal, or simply a liar. This is the same “Me! Me! Me! Blog” that believes in the First Amendment but not if anyone uses similar statements to describe the contents of that blog.
If our local MSM is this bad why does the “publisher” of the “Me! Me! Me! Blog” want to be quoted in it?
Maybe the MSM questions the “facts” presented by the “Me! Me! Me! Blog”. Simply looking at the picture descriptors presented for the October 19, 2005 meeting of the Susanville City Council (page one) indicates a problem. If the “publisher” of the “Me! Me! Me! Blog” can’t get the correct names and apply them to the correct people how can a person be expected to believe the content of the “story”?
The “Me! Me! Me! Blog” provides a public service. With its self-proclaimed readership it should simply ignore the MSM.
