Thursday Shorts

The Bay Area news folks played up the Senate’s closed session. Too bad they didn’t tell the listener that this was part of the plan all along. Didn’t a Republican staffer get fired for accessing the Senate Democrat’s plan on a government computer? Didn’t that plan include disrupting the Senate?

I keet hearing about $3.00 gas. Didn’t Governor Richardson recently speak about this problem? Downtown San Francisco price was $2.62. Other stations were as low as $2.53. I wonder when the politicians will recognize that gas and oil prices have moved down?

Sutter County CAO, Larry Combs, simply doesn’t get it. First the State Controller’s Office came out for a little audit and found that Combs failed to follow required procedures. Now the Auditor, Bob Stark, receives a letter that says that he is properly performing his duties. Combs said that it was “almost a form letter”.

It is going to be a cold winter. We had our first November snow yesterday.
