I was saddened to learn that Peter Drucker died on November 11, 2005. Mr. Drucker was considered the father of Management Studies. I started reading the works of Mr. Drucker in 1973 which helped me breeze through my undergraduate management courses. Although Mr. Drucker wrote a book specifically for non-profit management (Managing the Non-Profit Organization: [...]

Sutter County’s 4th District Supervisor, Jim Whiteaker, apparently doesn’t like the contents of his correspondence with constituents to be used in public. “Flyatnight.com is not someone else’s views on Sutter County. Quotes used on the website came from an e-mail I sent [Name withheld].†Of course the Supervisor is wrong! Mr. Supervisor, please take a [...]

This has been an interesting week. The House Republicans finally found the backbone to pull a political stunt that was one-up on the Senate Democrats. I learned that members of Congress can call the President a liar but nobody can question what they stand for. I learned that what you once said could be revised [...]

A couple weeks ago The Carnival of the Clueless picked up on the “Team Sutter’s†famous KKK reference to a group of citizens. Today we have another treat for the Carnival. County CAO [...]

My friends at the Me! Me! Me! Blog simply can’t give credit where credit is due. Lassen County reported the results of its 6,900 votes at 8:34 p.m. on election night. The Me! Me! Me! Blog (MoonBat) headline: “Placer and San Diego Counties first to report election result @ 8:01PM†Yep, Placer County reported its [...]

The Sutter County Board of Supervisors are at it again. This is the crew that called a citizens group Vigilantes and KKK. This is the same crew that filed criminal charges against the elected County Auditor for doing what he always has done. The current flap is over travel policies. I wish to thank the [...]

It is that time again. Solicitations from non-profit organizations. The California Attorney General released a “GUIDE TO CHARITABLE GIVING FOR DONORSâ€. What should you know before you give? 1. Get involved with charities in your community and support their programs. 2. When solicited for charity, learn about the organization, its activities and fundraising practices. 3. [...]
