Last year there were 3 Internal Service accounts (Admin, PW/Eng, and Finance). This year there are only two accounts. Why?
Two years ago we had the February Surprise when the citizens paid for what was essentially an endorsement of the incumbents, which included Sergeant DeBoer. The people would soon learn that they had been misled. The Grand Jury and FPPC slapped the City’s hand for this underhanded action.
This is the campaign that the voter has the opportunity to tell future candidates where the acceptable level of disagreement will fall.
