I have to wonder; did SCOTUS feel left out in running the war on terror? The extension of the Geneva Convention to a group not defined as part of the Convention appears to be a unilateral extension of the powers of the Court. The Elite 535 should act to put a damper on this issue – hey Congress is always complaining that someone is taking away its power.

If the programs are secret then why would members of Congress be talking about the program to him? Hey, I was reminded that our City Council has “some things cannot be revealed.†Somehow I knew that but not from my days on LAFCo.
The election of 2004 is very different from others of recent times, especially those since the fall of the Berlin Wall. No issue now is more central and fundamental than national security. And in a sense, all the great issues of our time are increasingly seamless. The effort to succeed at home requires us to succeed abroad. And if our foreign policy fails, our economic policy ultimately will falter as confidence is shaken by global instability, or contracts and commerce are lost by global hostility.
The people are using the Internet to express their opinions. Just this month 2 new blogs in Lassen County have been created.
I am sure that we will read and hear more about conflict of interest and profiting from being a public official. I would hope not but this is reality.
The lesson to be learned is simple. Although you have all of the data that you need to formulate an opinion that opinion could be false if you have not considered alternative interpretations of that data.
