A Grand Jury Report – Team Sutter On The Defense

Further, the Board of Supervisors and county administrative officer clearly have a higher duty to conduct themselves in a manner befitting their offices than the groups and individuals with whom they are engaged.

Will The City Council Lead?

I am sure that the editorial board believes that I needle, bait, and grate on staff and other members of the Council (they have stated two of the three). I am sure that some on the Council will agree but I am not certain that management would agree. I believe that our management team sees where I am going and understands the desired end-result. It is the Council that is in unfamiliar territory and I can sense a level of discomfort.

This Blog Is Rated “G”

I checked out the Professor’s blog and noted that he had a PG rating. I tried his little blog rating site and came up with a G rating for this site.

Online Polls – How Much Traffic?

I was cruising thru the KOS Kids site yesterday. There was a poll that had 8,700 votes. I thought that this represented good participation by the kids. After all, I have seen other polls that only represented a few hundred participants. What I missed in the big 8,700 number is that KOS generates about 450,000 [...]

We Demand

We, the public, Demand free health care! That is an incredible statement. It is also one that lacks a basic foundation of intellectual thought. For example I demand free telephone services. “Open” Government?

Cox and Forkum has an interesting opinion on how well the Speaker is doing with her “open” government pledge – Open House? Despite the new Democratic congressional leadership’s promise of “openness and transparency” in the budget process, a CNN survey of the House found it nearly impossible to get information on lawmakers’ pet projects.

Jimmy Carter – Court Jester

Via Powerline we get another analysis of Jimmy Carter. Michael D. Evans says of Carter that he is the Father of the Iranian revolution Before getting into the article I would like to make a simple observation. Isn’t it interesting that Senate Majority Leader Harry [land deal] Reid has a world view similar to Sir [...]

College Vote?

I understand from a reliable source who may have a reliable source who heard it from a friend that maybe (big word) the LCC Board has accumulated enough votes to make a change in direction. I have enough sources but I haven’t a clue as to what all of this means. Where is Torabora when [...]

My Statement About Susanville’s 07/08 Budget

I realize that there is a lot going on in Lassen County but it is apparent that Susanville’s budget ranks fairly low for those who are responsible for informing the public. On Wednesday afternoon the Council discussed the state of the current budget. Since the press failed to cover the event the public will not [...]
