Shadegg Running for House Majority Whip

It appears as if the conservative Blogs are pushing for Congressman John Shadegg. Is the Congressman a true conservative or simply a CINO?

County News (from the National Association of Counties – 12/26/05) has an interesting article on S 2113, the Digital Age Communications Act (DACA), introduced by Jim DeMint (R).

This is another in a series of bills introduced in the 109th Congress that would strip local governments of the right to enter into local franchise agreements with video providers, both new entrants and renewal of incumbent operators.

Add to this S 1504, the Broadband Investment and Consumer Choice Act of 2005, John Ensign (R) and S 1349, the Video Choice Act of 2005, Gordon Smith (R).

These are all special interest legislation. They all strip rights from local government.

Where do you stand Congressman John Shadegg?

La Shawn Barber blogs a Shadegg Conference Call.
